Hardware Driver InformationDrivers are files that tell hardware (modem, scanner, mouse, etc.) how to operate. Hardware manufacturers release new drivers for their hardware and are designated by version numbers (version 1.1, version 1.2, version 4.0, etc.). The larger the version number, the more updated the driver file is. Internet Texoma recommends obtaining the most updated driver for your modem whenever possible. This guarantees that your modem will have the latest resources available in order to increase the chances of high connection rates. If you have lost a driver for some of your hardware or you would like to see if upgrades are available, you will need to know the make and manufacturer of your hardware so that you can search for it on these sites.
