How To Enter Your User Name, Password and Dial Internet Texoma1. From the desktop, slide your mouse pointer over the "My Computer" icon and double-click with the left mouse button. The "My Computer" window will appear. 2. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Dial-Up Networking" icon (inside the "My Computer" window) and double-click with the left mouse button (the "Dial-Up Networking" window will appear). If you do not have a "Dial-Up Networking" icon available, please refer to section 3.21a of the Internet Texoma How To Directory. 3. Slide your mouse pointer over the Internet Texoma connection icon (it may say Internet Texoma in the name), and double-click with the left mouse button. The "Connect To" window will appear.
5. Slide your mouse pointer over the "User name:" entry box (the white box to the right of the words "User name:") and single-click with the left mouse button. Type in your login user name. Note: The user name will be lower case. 6. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Password:" entry box (the white box to the right of the words "Password:") and single-click with the left mouse button. Type in your login password. Note: The password is case sensitive, please type in capital letters when necessary. 7. After entering the user name & password you are ready to connect to the Internet. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Connect" button and single-click with the left mouse button. Your modem will dial. 8. After the connection process is complete, double-click on the program you wish to use with the Internet (browsers, e-mail clients, FTP, IRC, etc.). |
