How To Permanently Change
Your Login Phone Number
Note: The following instructions are designed for Dial-Up Networking Version
1.2. If you have an older version of Dial-Up Networking, these instructions may
still be used for some guidance in checking your settings.
1. From the desktop, slide your mouse pointer over the "My
Computer" icon and double-click with the left mouse button (the "My
Computer" window will appear).
2. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Dial-Up Networking" icon
(inside the "My Computer" window) and double-click with the left mouse button.
The "Dial-Up Networking" window will appear.
3. Slide your mouse pointer over the connection you wish to verify, (it
may say Internet Texoma in the name) and single-click with the right mouse button. A
drop-down menu will appear.
4. Slide your mouse pointer over the word "Properties"
(the last entry) and single-click with the left mouse button. The "Properties"
window will appear for that connection.

5. In the "Telephone Number" entry box (the white box below the
words "Telephone Number") is the phone number that the computer dials to connect
to the Internet. The number should be one of Internet Texoma's modem pool numbers
(refer to the phone numbers below for guidance if necessary). If the phone number is
not one of ours, slide your mouse pointer over the entry box and single-click with the
left mouse button. Type in the number that is a local call for you. Note: If
your phone company requires you to dial the area code, you will need to place the area
code in the "Telephone Number" entry box in front of the phone number.

Internet Texoma
access numbers.
6. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK" button and
single-click with the left mouse button. The "Properties" window will disappear.
7. Resetting your login phone number is now complete. The next
time you try to connect to the Internet, the "Connect To" window will have the
new number installed.
