How To Disable Call Waiting
For Windows 95
Note: The following instructions on disabling call waiting for Windows 95 are designed
for Dial-Up Networking Version 1.2. If you have an older version of Dial-Up
Networking, these instructions may still be used for some guidance in checking your
settings.
1. From the desktop, slide your mouse pointer over the "My
Computer" icon and double-click with the left mouse button. The "My
Computer" window will appear.
2. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Dial-Up Networking" icon
(inside the "My Computer" window) and double-click with the left mouse button.
The "Dial-Up Networking" window will appear.
3. Slide your mouse pointer over the connection you wish to verify, (it
may say Internet Texoma in the name) and single-click with the right mouse button. A
drop-down menu will appear.
4. Slide your mouse pointer over the word "Properties"
(the last entry) and single-click with the left mouse button. The "Properties"
window will appear for that connection.

5. In the "Telephone Number" entry box (the white box below the
words "Telephone Number") is the phone number that the computer dials to connect
to the Internet. The number should be one of Internet Texoma's modem pool numbers.
Slide your mouse pointer over the entry box and single-click with the left mouse
button. Now, press the HOME button on your keyboard. This will move the
cursor to the beginning of the phone number.
6. Look in your local telephone companies phone book
to obtain the proper code for disabling call waiting in your area. Type the code, followed
by a comma (,) in front of the phone number (see the example below).

7. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK"
button and single-click with the left mouse button.
8. Close all other windows.
9. Your call waiting is now disabled.
