How To Create Additional Dial-Up
Connections For Windows 95


1.  From the desktop, slide your mouse pointer over the "My Computer" icon and double-click with the left mouse button. The "My Computer" window will appear.

2.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Dial-Up Networking" icon (inside the "My Computer" window) and double-click with the left mouse button. The "Dial-Up Networking" window will appear.

3. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Make New Connection" icon and double-click with the left mouse button.

4.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Type a name for the computer you are dialing:" entry box and single-click with the left mouse button.

5.  Type in a name for this connection. Make sure the name is different from any connection currently in the "Dial-Up Networking" folder (i.e., Internet Texoma, Internet Texoma 1, Texoma Sherman, Texoma Denison, etc.).

6.  Slide your mouse pointer over the upside-down arrow to the right of the "Select a modem:" entry box (the white area below the words "Select a modem:") and single-click with the left mouse button. A drop-down list will appear.

7.  Slide your mouse pointer over the name of your modem and single-click with the left mouse button.

8.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Next >" button.

9.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Area code:" entry box (the white area below the words "Area code:") and single-click with the left mouse button.

10.  Type in the area code for the number that is a local call for your location..

11.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Telephone number:" entry box (the white area below the words "Telephone number:") and single-click with the left mouse button.

12.  Type the phone number that is a local call for your location.  Click here for a complete list of Internet Texoma access numbers.

13.  Slide your mouse pointer over the upside-down triangle to the right of the "Country code:" entry box (the white area below the words "Country code:") and single-click with the left mouse button. A drop-down list will appear.

14.  Slide your mouse pointer over "United States of America (1)" and single-click with the left mouse button.

15.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Next >" button.

16.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Finish" button and single-click with the left mouse button.

17.  You have just created a dial-up connection to Internet Texoma.  Note: Please refer to section 3.21g  How To Verify Your Settings. of Internet Texoma's How To directory to finish setting up the dial-up connection.
