How To Place A Shortcut To Your Dial-Up Connection On The Desktop


1.  From the desktop, slide your mouse pointer over the "My Computer" icon and double-click with the left mouse button (the "My Computer" window will appear).

2.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Dial-Up Networking" icon (inside the "My Computer" window) and double-click with the left mouse button. The "Dial-Up Networking" window will appear.

3.  Slide your mouse pointer over the connection to which you wish to make a shortcut (it may say Internet Texoma in the name) and single-click with the right mouse button. A drop-down menu will appear.

4.  On the drop-down menu, you will see "Connect", "Create Shortcut", "Delete", Rename" and "Properties".  Slide your mouse pointer over "Create Shortcut" and single-click with the left mouse button. You will receive a message from the computer.

5.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Yes" button and single-click with the left mouse button. The shortcut will be placed on the desktop.

6.  Close the "Dial-Up Networking" window.

7.  Close the "My Computer" window.

8.  You will see the shortcut icon on the desktop.  Slide your mouse pointer over the shortcut and double-click with the left mouse button to connect to Internet Texoma.
