How To Set-Up 10 Digit Dialing
For Windows NT
(RAS)

1.  From the desktop, slide your mouse pointer over the "My Computer" icon and double-click with the left mouse button. The "My Computer" window will appear.

2.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Dial-Up Networking" icon (inside the "My Computer" window) and double-click with the left mouse button. The "Dial-Up Networking" window will appear.

3.  Slide your mouse pointer over the upside-down triangle (to the right of the "Phonebook entry to dial:" entry box) and single-click with the left mouse button.  A pop-down selection will appear listing your phonebook entries. Refer to the image below for guidance if necessary.

4.  Slide your mouse pointer over the name of the phonebook entry you wish to verify (it may say Internet Texoma in the name) and single-click with the left mouse button.

7.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "Check Box" to the left of "Use Telephony dialing properties" and single-click until there is not a check. Refer to the image above for guidance if necessary.

8.  In the "Phone number:" entry box (the white box next to the words "Phone number:") is the phone number that the computer dials to connect to the Internet.  The number should be one of Internet Texoma's modem pool numbers (refer to the phone numbers below for guidance if necessary).   If the phone number is not one of ours, slide your mouse pointer over the entry box and single-click with the left mouse button.  Type in the number that is a local call for you. Note: If your phone company requires 10 digit dialing, you will need to place the area code in the "Phone number" entry box in front of the phone number.

9.  Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK" button and single-click with the left mouse button. The "Edit Phonebook Entry" window will disappear.

10.  Your connection to Internet Texoma is now set-up for 10 digit dialing. Repeat the above steps for each of the Internet Texoma connections you may have.
