How To Change Your Netscape
Communicator Start Page
Note: The following instructions for Netscape Communicator are designed for
Netscape Communicator Version 4.04. If you have an older version of Netscape
Communicator, these instructions may still be used for some guidance in checking your
settings.
1. From inside Netscape Communicator, slide your
mouse pointer over the word "Edit" (upper left corner, in between "File"
and "View") and single-click with your left mouse button. A
drop-down menu will appear.
2. Slide your mouse pointer over the word "Preferences..."
(the last entry) and single-click with the left mouse button. The
"Preferences" window will appear.
3. Slide your mouse pointer over the word
"Navigation" (in the "Category:" entry box) and single-click
with the left mouse button. "Navigation" will become highlighted.

4. Slide your mouse pointer over the bullet (the
white circle) to the left of the words "Home page" and single-click until
there is a black dot inside the bullet.
5. Slide your mouse pointer over the
"Location:" entry box (the white area next to "Location:") and
single-click with the left mouse button. Type the address you wish to make your start
page. Refer to the image above for guidance if necessary.
6. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK"
button (lower right corner next to "Cancel") and single-click with the left
mouse button. The "Preferences" window will disappear.
7. Your start page has been reset. The next
time you start Netscape Communicator, the address you specified will be your start
page.
