How To Change Your Netscape
Navigator Start Page
Note: The following instructions for Netscape Navigator are designed for
Netscape Navigator Version 3.04. If you have a different version of Netscape Navigator,
these instructions may still be used for some guidance in checking your settings.
1. From inside Netscape Navigator, slide your mouse
pointer over the word "Options" (top of the Netscape window, in between
"Bookmarks" and "Directory") and single-click with your left mouse
button. A drop-down menu will appear.
2. Slide your mouse pointer over the word
"General Preferences..." (the first entry) and single-click with the left mouse
button. The "Preferences" window will appear.
3. At the top of the window, you will see seven tabs:
"Appearance", "Fonts", "Color", "Images",
"Apps", "Helpers" and "Language". Slide your mouse
pointer over the "Appearance" tab and single-click with the left mouse button.

4. Slide your mouse pointer over the bullet (the
white circle) to the left of the words "Home Page Location" and single-click
until there is a black dot inside the bullet. If you do not want any page to load on
startup, then you can select "Blank Page" instead and skip to step #6.
5. Slide your mouse pointer over the white text entry
box below where you clicked in step #3 and single-click with the left mouse button.
Type the address you wish to make your start page. Refer to the image above for
guidance if necessary.
6. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK"
button (lower right corner next to "Cancel") and single-click with the left
mouse button. The "Preferences" window will disappear.
7. Your start page has been reset. The next
time you start Netscape Navigator, the address you specified will be your start page.
