How To Clear Netscape Navigator's
Cache Files
Note: The following instructions for Netscape Navigator are designed for
Netscape Navigator Version 3.04. If you have a different version of Netscape Navigator,
these instructions may still be used for some guidance in checking your settings.
1. From inside Netscape Navigator, slide your mouse
pointer over the word "Options" (top of the Netscape window, in between
"Bookmarks" and "Directory") and single-click with your left mouse
button. A drop-down menu will appear.
2. Slide your mouse pointer over the words
"Network Preferences..." and single-click with the left mouse button. The
"Preferences" window will appear.
3. At the top of the window, you will see five tabs:
"Cache", "Connections", "Proxies", "Protocols" and
"Languages". Slide your mouse pointer over the tab labeled
"Cache" and single-click with the left mouse button. Refer to the image
below for guidance if necessary.

4. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Clear
Memory Cache" button and single-click with the left mouse button.
5. You will be asked if you wish to continue clearing
the memory cache. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK" button and single-click
with the left mouse button.
6. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Clear Disk
Cache" button and single-click with the left mouse button.
7. You will be asked if you wish to continue clearing
the disk cache. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK" button and single-click
with the left mouse button.
8. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK"
button (lower right corner, next to "Cancel") and single-click with the left
mouse button.
9. You have cleared the cache files.
