How To Verify And Change
Eudora Light Settings
1. From inside Eudora, slide your mouse pointer over "Tools" (at
the top, between "Special" and "Window") and single-click with the
left mouse button. A drop-down menu will appear.
2. Slide your mouse pointer over the word "Options..." and
single-click with the left mouse button. The "Options" window will appear.
3. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Getting Started" icon (upper
left corner, in the "Category:" section) and single-click with the left mouse
button.
4. Slide your mouse pointer over the “POP account:” entry
box (the white area below the word "POP account:") and single-click with the
left mouse button. Type in your e-mail address. Refer to the image above for guidance if
necessary.
5. Slide your mouse pointer over the “Real Name:” entry box
(the white area below the word "Real Name:") and single-click with the left
mouse button. Type in your name as you would like it to appear on your e-mails. You may
also leave this line blank if you desire.
6. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Return address:"
entry box (the white box below the word "Return address:") and single-click with
the left mouse button. Type in your e-mail address. You may also leave this line blank if
you desire. Refer to the image above for guidance if necessary.
7. Slide your mouse pointer over the bullet (the small white circle) to the
left of the line "Winsock (Network, PPP, SLIP)" and single-click with the left
mouse button until there is a black dot inside the white circle. Refer to the image above
for guidance if necessary.
8. Slide your mouse pointer over the "Hosts" icon (in the
"Category" listing, below "Personal Info" and above "Checking
Mail") and single-click with the left mouse button. The right side of the window will
change.
9. Slide your mouse pointer over the "SMTP" entry box (the
white box below the word "SMTP:") and single-click with the left mouse
button. Type in "mail.texoma.net". (NO CAPS, NO QUOTES) Refer to the image
above for guidance if necessary.
10. The rest of the icons are for users' personal preferences and are best
left on the default settings.
11. Slide your mouse pointer over the "OK" button (next to
"Cancel") and single-click with the left mouse button. The "Options"
window will disappear
12. Your Eudora Light settings are now correct. Slide your mouse pointer
over the "Check Mail" icon on the toolbar and single-click with the left mouse
button to check your e-mail.
