In an effort to help our customers deal with the common problem of unsolicited bulk e-mail (spam), we have constructed this page in order to provide instructions for reporting the activities of spammers to the proper authorities as well as to provide techniques for minimizing the effects of spam.

The Federal Trade Commission has provided a resource through which consumers can file complaints against companies who abuse the internet by spamming.  Customer should forward the spam to uce@ftc.gov.  In order to ensure that they have ample evidence of wrongdoing, they need the full headers to the messages (in order to prove that no forgery has taken place), and the full text of the message.   If you are unsure as to how to include full headers, refer to the section below.

In the meantime, you can avoid having to delete the same spam over and over again by instructing your mail program to direct them automatically to your trash folder using mail filters.   Instructions for setting up mail filters can be found below.
